4media group worked with entertainment super brand, Warner Bros to conduct research as the basis for a broadcast day looking at all things supervillains. The campaign was aimed at promoting the launch of the newest LEGO DC Super-Villain videogame and was run in conjunction with World Boss’ Day and looked at which villainous traits their bosses possess. The broadcast day was fronted by Arthur Parsons, Head of Design at TT Games who spoke to interviewees about what makes a great Supervillain.
The research of over 2000 TV, movie and comic-loving Brits conducted by our in-house research division, Atomik Research, revaled that almost a quarter (23%) said ‘the ablity to instantly forget their own mistakes’ would be the villainous trait they’d most associate with their boss. 21% said ‘excellent at avoiding responsibility’ followed by ‘able to influence others’ opinions’.
The research also revealed that 24% of Brits secretly love a Supervillain more than a superhero. When asked which Supervillain they would choose to embody, The Joker came out top, closely followed by feline favourite – Catwoman, Lex Luthor, Penguin and in joint fifth Harley Quinn and The Riddler.
When asked which powers they would love to have, almost half chose time travel (44%), while 40% would choose stealth invisibility and superhuman intelligence, followed by flying/levitation (38%). A third (33%) of respondents chose superhuman strength and mind control
The broadcast day secured 10 interviews including jazz FM and BBC Radio Tees. You can view the full coverage here.
