Highlight:
The broadcast campaign secured extensive coverage across multiple channels including BBC News, BBC World Business Report, BBC World Service, BBC 4 Today Show and Channel 4 News.
Challenge:
Investec Asset Management approached 4media group to help highlight the personal benefits and gains that can be made from investing sustainably and to showcase the action-intention gap within the British public using a broadcast media campaign. Investec Asset Management wanted to find out whether concern about the environment is changing the way people in the UK invest in their personal and workplace pension schemes.
Solution:
Through quantitative research, 4media group identified the gaps in people’s knowledge about their pensions and how they are investing. We provided narrative that was supplied through qualitative interviews with independent financial professionals which formed a white paper called ‘Making Pensions Greener’. We ran a broadcast media campaign to line up with the Extinction Rebellion march which was fronted by Deirdre Cooper – Global Environment Fund Manager at Investec Asset Management.
Outcome:
The broadcast media campaign secured coverage in World Business Report, BBC World Service, BBC 4 Today Show and Channel 4 News. The campaign also attained an exclusive with The Independent. Following the success of the UK campaign, 4media group was asked to replicate the campaign in Canada.
