Challenge:

4media group worked with and conducted research for dating app experts happn to create a series of ongoing campaigns that encourage downloads and position happn as ‘the experts on modern love’.

Solution:

As part of the ongoing work with happn, 4media group conducted intensive research looking at the dating habits of people in the UK. We partnered with dating expert Hayley Quinn and happn’s in-house head of trends, Claire Certain to offer expert comment. To celebrate happn hitting 50m users worldwide, 4media group organised a press trip to the company’s HQ in Paris, where top business journalists interviewed founder Didier Rapport. We also capitalised on the app’s own research data and analysed trends in dating. From this we began drafting press releases and providing exclusive stats to top titles.

Outcome:

Through the successes of our previous campaigns with happn, the client has an established working relationship with 4media group. We have obtained multiple items of coverage across broadcast, television, and print, helping to increase brand perception. Creation of a viral 2019 dating phrase – ‘cooking jarring’ went global.
